Walker Standardbreds, owned and operated by Dr. Kenneth L. Walker and his wife, Patricia, is home to two trotting stallions, three pacing stallions, 115 mares, and 75 yearlings. The farm covers 400 acres and has 8 enclosed barns and 2 run-in sheds with over 100 stalls available for use.
The farm is also host every summer to a select sale of yearling prospects conceived and foaled in Illinois. In 2013, the average price per horse was $10,236.07, with 135 consigned.
In 2013, 236 mares were bred to the 6 stallions standing at stud. All breedings are done by artificial insemination.
